East Side Mario's

So this week i visited East Side Mario's. Meals come with choice of  soup or salad and all you can eat garlic bread as an an entree! Oh yeah  and kids eat free! I've always past by this restaurant but delayed going for no reason. So for the first time i actually whent and really enjoyed myself. It took me less than no time to get a seat because it was late and barely anyone was there. The menu was given out right away and i orderd the seafood linguine. It's a pasta made with shrimp scallops and mussels in tomato sauce. Within 5 minutes i was served my entree of ceasar salad and garlic bread, both were really good. The ceasar salad had croutons and bacon and just enough creamy dressing on it. The garlic bread was toasted to perfection in fact my mom whom i came with enjoyed the garlic bread more than her meal. :p My meal was great i had the mussels removed though. The shrimp and scallop both tasted good mixed in the tomato sauce.

The atmosphere at the time was pretty dead not much people. The docor was nice, round light bulb's hung down from the ceiling. The walls were a darkish yellow and some parts were made from red brick which matched nicely with the square tables that had on a red and white checkerd tablecloth. The booth i sat at was right next to the window which had a beautiful scene.

The service was fast and friendly. At on point my camera needed charging and the waiter was kind of enough let me plug my camera into their outlets. Some places don't allow that so i was very thankful.  One thing i didn't like was that the first waiter was such in a rush to leave because her shift was soon over that it made me feel rushed. The seconnd waiter was more warm and welcoming. From the looks of it it looked like a good family restaurant a place were families get together to celebrate a function.

La Belle Province

This restaurant is pretty known in montreal. It's a Quebecoise burger place known to have the best poutine in montreal. So of course when i went there i had to order the famouse poutine. You can choose a choice between small or large, i chose a small because it was my first time and all. I was thinking maybe i should add a hot dog or something but oh was i glad that i didn't, for when i received my small poutine it was huge! I have a big appetite but even half way through eating this small but massive poutine i was full. The poutine was delicious and defnitly fulling! The service was fast too, the atmosphere was calm and nice it has this cool dinner look to it!

This place has been around for a long time, I’ve always head of their delicious poutine but never actually tried it. When I went there I saw that it came in two sizes small or large. I have a big appetite and so I was thinking a small wouldn’t satisfy me, and I thought hmm this isn’t going to satisfy me maybe I should order a hot dog or something. Boy was I glad that I didn’t. For when I received my poutine it was huge. I’ve never ordered a small poutine and received this amount. If this was the small I can’t imagine what the large was like. The sauce was hot and nice and salted just the way I liked it. The cheese was being nicely melted from the hot sauce. The fries were not to small nor to bog just perfect. The fries weren’t to crunchy their were more on the soft side. Half way through it and I was full already. It tasted so good though that my greed force myself to stuff the rest down. It indeed proved itself to be the best poutine I’ve ever had.

The service was pretty fast I received my order within minutes from ordering it. I like how the staff spoke English with ease even though it was evident they were both francophone’s. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The restaurant looked like an old school diner but built in a new school era. The place was surrounded with rectangular windows and had red, blue and yellow writing on it. The tables and everything was silver which it gave it the new school look but the design of it was old school. The booths were cushioned and cozy. The ceiling had the official Belle Province logo and and it was illuminated. The bathroom was pretty cheap looking and plain who ever designed the place obviously didn’t give the bathroom much thought. Overall the décor (excluding the bathroom) was really cool and fit the restaurant. This restaurant seems more attracted to younger people not the type of place for older people.
